Youth Drama Program with Tara Mahoney and Erin Stripto

Dates

July 2-October 8 (Wednesdays only). 4:00-5:30

This professional theatre training program is open to all beginning, intermediate, and advanced aspiring young performers, ages 7 and up. Students will engage in theatrical curricular studies focusing on creating a character, stage presence, script analysis, dance and performance skills, while learning techniques of auditioning for stage performance. The youth drama program will meet once a week for 15 weeks and culminates with a Fall Festival performance of the Children’s Theatre production.

Ballroom Variations (Intermediate Level)

Class starts first Wednesday of every month, 4-week session

For the Intermediate and higher level dancer. During the 4-week session, dancers will learn an intermediate-level combination in one dance with advanced body action, styling and leading/following techniques. Dance varies month-to-month. Please call for more information. No partner necessary.

    Ballroom Practical Variations

    Class starts the first Thursday of every month - 4-week session (except November and December 3-weeks sessions)

    Dancers should know their basics to participate. Our most popular ballroom dance group class! While learning an easy and practical dance variation, you will learn styling options, basic techniques to enhance your dancing and leading/following skills. Dance varies from month to month.         Adult Voice

        Singing is fun at any age. What's more, it's great exercise and builds confidence and poise. It can even make you a more powerful public speaker. In this class, you will improve your singing and speaking voice while you learn about music in a positive and supportive environment. The class explores vocal technique and practices together, then works individually on favorite songs. 8-week session

          JAZZ Workshop

          Here is your chance to learn to improvise, sharpen your skills, and practice playing with a jazz ensemble. Unlike typical jam sessions, the instructor guides the group so everyone will learn about techniques and popular jazz styles (swing, Latin, and ballad) plus have the opportunity to play, experiment, and improve. The group studies and plays jazz standards so you'll be able to "call the tunes" and "know the changes" when you sit in with other jazz players Members $120 Non-members $132

            Adult Beginner Guitar

            Tuesdays - 8-week Session 9/16-11/3

            All you need is a guitar to join the fun! This class starts at the beginning and provides a fun and informative hour that's part lesson and part playing songs. The class explores how the guitar is played and some general music principles so that you can enjoy playing guitar by yourself or with others. Why wait when there is a positive and supportive environment to learn to play guitar?

              Adult Intermediate Guitar

              Tuesdays 9/16-11/3

              If you played before and want to get back into it, or if you've taken beginner guitar and want to continue improving, this class provides a fun and informative hour that's part lesson and part playing songs. The class explores lots of different artists and styles including blues, finger picking, acoustic rock, country and more. It's a great excuse to dust off that guitar and get out and have fun playing again in a supportive environment.
